august favourites

benefit high beam, soap and glory hand food, benefit brow zings, mac chatterbox, tycho dive album, ralph lauren big pony 2, the hunger games, nivea after sun

Benefit high beam - I never really knew how to use this but after seeing Alix's everyday make up video I've started to use this as a bit of a primer and using it under my eyes and cheek bones to give the 'Kardashian' effect of brighter cheeks and eyes. I put my erase paste over the top of it and it makes my face look so much brighter and healthier.

Soap and Glory Hand Food - My skin got very dry on holiday so I've started to use this hand cream from Soap and Glory, it smells lush and the formula isn't sticky because I hate when my hands feel dirty or anything like that. Its really moisturising and its going to be good for the colder months.

Benefit Brow Zings - I have had this since christmas but I never used it because still had some of my Urban Decay eyebrow powder left, but now I feel like the UD one is too light and I wanted something more 'fake' looking, not overly dark eyebrows but something a little bit more noticeable and the Brow Zings really work, I much prefer it.

Mac Chatterbox - I don't usually wear lipstick but I brought it on holiday with me and wore it almost every night, its really creamy and such a gorgeous colour I can't stop wearing it, it looks really good with bold eyebrows and a bronzed face.

Tycho Dive Album - I'm not even sure how I came across this band/artist (I don't even know what they/it are) but I bought their album to listen to on holiday and its so relaxing and summery it reminds me of my holiday every time I listen to it, omg take me back to Menorca.

Ralph Lauren Big Pony Pink (2) - My brother bought me this for my birthday and it smells so delicious, really fruity and summery, its been the only perfume I've worn since I got it.

The Hunger Games - I seen the movie when it came out at the cinemas and loved it so my mum bought me the books and I read the first one in like two days on holiday, it was addictive. I've just been out to get the movie as it came out on DVD today and I can't wait to watch it.

Nivea After Sun - I don't usually like after suns, since my mum putting on very thick layers of the stuff all over me when I was little on holiday, but this one is not sticky at all and smells delicious. Its a nice formula and keeps your skin moisturised for quite a while. I'm not sure if its this after sun or just my tan fading naturally but this hasn't kept my tan at all, its fading so fast which is unusual as my skin usually keeps its colour for longer than this.

  1. I love pink lipsticks right now! The Chatterbox looks lush, dying to get myself a Mac one cause there's just something about their lipsticks I love more than any other. Hopefully after I see the film, I'll be borrowing this Hunger Games book from you Soph ;)

  2. Hand food is my favourite thing ever. I find myself putting it on just so I can smell it!
I've still not seen or read Hunger Games, but I think I will now!

Brilliant post, thank you so much for sharing :D

  4. mac chatterbox is such a pretty shade x

  5. Absolutely adore The Hunger Games books. I haven't actually seen the film yet, but I'm on the 2nd book at the moment. I agree with you, they are SO addictive. I read the first book in less than 24 hours, I think it might be the fastest I've ever read a book!

Hand Food is the best hand cream I've ever used. I introduced my Mum to it too, and she's tried no end of hand creams!

  6. I love high beam, it's a lovely highlight! I really want to try those Ralph Lauren perfumes, the male ones are beautiful so I'm guessing the girls will be too! xx

  7. Hi! What is the font you have used in your head-banner?

  8. The hunger games books are amazing! I love soap and glory hand food, it's lush! :p x

  9. I feel like one of the only people in the world who hasn't read the hunger games!

  10. I'm slightly obsessed with the Hunger Games (as in I went to see the film 6 times and took a day off college to read the second book - which is my favourite - ahaha). I've never used high beam under my eyes - just on my cheek bones, but I may ahve to give that a try! Great post :)
