lush skin care routine

I have posted a skin care routine on here a while ago but to be honest it wasn't the best, the products I was using were quite rubbish and I usually just used sample sized clinique items that my mum would give me that she got for free. At the beginning of the year I made a promise to myself that I would look after my skin properly, so I invested in some good quality skin care, heres my new routine.

lush - 9 to 5 cleansing lotion - £9.50

On mornings when I don't have much time to get ready (which is usually most mornings), I love to use the Lush 9 to 5 lotion. It is similar to the Liz Earl cleanse and polish lotion, you apply some to your face and remove it with a warm towel or cotton pads. It is excellent at removing make up and leaving your skin feeling soft and moisturised. It smells really fresh and not chemically, just like all of Lush's products.

lush - angels on bare skin - £6.35

This is my favourite product out of my whole skin care routine, I use the Lush 'angels on bare skin' cleanser on an evening or on a morning when I am not pushed for time. It is a solid consistency and you mix a small amount with warm water to create a thick lotion. It smells delicious, it has quite a strong lavender smell to it but it is very gentle on your skin. It helps to even out your skin tone and reduce redness, I love the way my skin looks whenever I've used this it just looks instantly flawless! If you are on the hunt for an amazing cleanser I wouldn't hesitate to buy this one!

lush - ocean salt - £7.25

Once a week I will exfoliate my skin to get rid of any dry skin and to help heal blemishes. On a sunday evening I will apply the Lush ocean salt face scrub to dry skin, it says to apply to wet skin but I personally think with any scrub or exfoliater it is better to apply it to dry skin so it is more effective. I apply a small amount to my face and very gently work the product in, in circular motions. As it contains avocado butter which helps soften your skin, I let it sit on my face for a few extra minutes after I've finished scrubbing. Once I rinse it of with warm water my face can be a little red but the redness reduces within 15 minutes. Every time I use this it makes my skin so subtle and soft its like no other face scrub I've ever used, it really does the job and gets rid of every last bit of dry skin.

lush - tea tree water - £3.95

After I have exfoliated my skin using the ocean salt, I will sprits the Lush tea tree water all over my face, this really helps to cool my skin and reduce irritation. As it has antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial properties I like to spray it on after I've exfoliated to make sure I have fully removed all the bacteria that may have been lurking on my skin.

lush - vanishing cream - £17.75

After I have either cleansed or exfoliated or even before I put on my makeup, I will apply the Lush vanishing cream moisturiser to my face. This moisturiser is so light and just sinks into your skin straight away, it is perfect for daily use.

lush - grease lightning - £5.95

On the occasion that I get a spot, I will apply some of Lush grease lightning, which helps get rid of spots and blemishes within days.
