I filmed my first youtube video in almost two years the other day and its now up on my channel here. Ive done a chitchat get ready with me video, where I discuss everything that has happened in my life from 2014 including how my first year of uni went, dealing with my rabbits passing away and more. In the video I only talk about life topics and don’t explain any of the products I’m using as it would have been such a long video! So in this post I am going to go into a little bit more detail of what I do everyday and what products I use.
I dont wear make up everyday as most of the time I’m not doing anything particularly special and I like to give my skin a break.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream – I never used to like wearing anything under my foundation never mind moisturiser as I always thought it made my foundation look greasy and didn’t last throughout the day. But a few months ago I started to get dry patches on my cheeks and needed to put moisturiser on those areas constantly otherwise foundation would look horrid over it. So I started using this sample of the moisturiser that I’ve probably had in my cupboard for years. I really like this moisturiser as it doesn’t leave your skin too oily looking and gives the nicest glow for under foundation.
Lush Enchanted Eye Cream – Another problem I had was dry skin under my eyes and whenever I would put concealer on it would go awful I don’t even know how to describe it but it would look all cakey and dry so I’ve also been applying eye cream under make up. I’m not really sure if I’ve ever seen significant results with any eye cream before but this one dries quick and sinks into your skin without a trace so its great for under make up.
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer – I recently bought a new foundation and throughout the day it will collect around my nose so I’ve been using this primer again to try to prevent this creasing. It hasn’t completely prevented it but it has dramatically reduced the amount so I don’t feel like my make up melts off as much!
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation – This isn’t a new foundation at all but its new to me. I’ve been using it for about a month and I love it. I think it is the first foundation that has ever matched my skin tone perfectly, it blends into my skin so well and I love the finish it gives. I apply it with my fingers roughly then blend it in with a Real Techniques damp sponge and the finish is flawless.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer – This is another new product to me and I think it is probably my favourite concealer I’ve ever used! It is the prefect consistency between a cream and a liquid and blends under my eyes like a dream!
Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer – I use the powder in this product to set my under eyes and wherever is looking particularly shiny. I use quite a bit, kind of like the baking technique but I don’t pack it on and leave it, I just apply like you would normally and brush off the excess straight away. The feel once this has set is amazing, it is so velvety and acts as a shield when I accidentally get mascara under my eyes as it makes it super easy to remove without smudges!
Benefit Hoola Bronzer – I use this bronzer as a contour shade, I love warm colours in general and I think this warmer bronzer suits my skin tone well and gives me a nice colour to my face. I use the square brush thing that you get with the bronzer and it literally makes contouring your face so easy! The brush is the perfect size and helps to create a nice straight line.
Soap and Glory Wonderbronze – My blush choice changes constantly but a one I have been loving lately is this. It is a lovely shimmery bronze colour and goes so well with the hoola bronzer.
Soap and Glory Glow All Out – This may have to be one of my all time favourite highlighters, I go back to it all of the time. It is more of a pink highlight but when it is on your skin it is beautiful, I apply this on my cheek bones, tip of my nose, cupids bow and above my eyebrows.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer – I have been loving putting the same bronzer that I use as contour on my eyelids as an eyeshadow. I have hooded eyelids and the space between my eyebrow and my lash line is large so I try make this area look smaller by adding this colour in the crease and all over my lid. I love the warm colour as it really brings out the amber in my eyes, I also apply it under my eyes as it opens them up a lot more.
Soap and Glory Archery Eyebrow Pencil – I only use this for the spooly brush on one end to brush through by brows.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade – I have been using this eyebrow product for a few months and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to powder or pencil eyebrow colours. This product is water and smudge proof so you have perfect brows all day! I love it so much I have managed to crack the perfect eyebrow code with this product!
Soap and Glory Archery Eyebrow Gel – Dip brow doesn’t need set as alone it will stay put for hours but I just like to define my eyebrow hairs especially at the front of my brows with this product and it just adds a bit of extra protection.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara – This mascara is amazing for my eyelashes, it makes them so thick, defined and long as they are pretty none existent to begin with. I love it so much but always switch between this and Benefit they’re real as I’m not sure which I love more!
