Lush has been one of my favourite beauty brands for years, they never seem to let me down no matter what product I try. Not only are they a major contributor to promoting the cruelty free message, they have so many vegan and vegetarian products so there is literally something for everyone. So in todays post I wanted to share with you some of my all time favourites from lush that I think everyone needs to try.
Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner – In shower body conditioners are literally the best invention ever for people who forget to moisturise like myself! After you’ve washed your body you take a small amount and apply it to your skin then rinse it off, it is so quick and easy that I use it every time I’m in the shower. Where as with normal body moisturisers that you would apply on dry skin, I feel like they’re just such an effort. I can’t stand having the feeling of greasy sticky skin so the fact that you have to wait for them to sink in puts me off using them regularly. Where as with in shower body conditioners its so quick and easy to do and you don’t have to sit and wait for them to sink in. I particularly like this one from Lush as a little bit goes a long way and it leaves your skin feeling super soft and not one bit sticky. The scent is unreal, I wish it was a perfume! The scent lasts for a while on your skin afterwards too which I love about it.
Angels On Bare Skin Cleanser – I have been using this cleanser on and off for a few years and keep coming back to it because it just makes my skin feel and look so good. It has lavender in which helps keep redness at bay and it’s very gentle especially for those with sensitive skin. It is a strange consistency as its solid, so you have to mix it with water to create a paste and massage it into your skin but its just lovely! I quite like using it in the morning as its like a mini face massage to wake yourself up with.
Rosy Cheeks Face Mask – I took back five empty Lush pots back to the shop and I was able to choose a fresh face mask for free. I chose the rose one because I really love the smell of rose and it said that it is best for calming skin. I have sensitive skin so anything that is calming and cooling that keeps irritation at bay is a must for me. The lady in the Lush shop said that I could use this mask as often as I wanted as it is so gentle and soothing. I was really happy about this as the Lush face masks have sell by dates on them and when I’ve had them in the past I’ve forgot about them as they have to be kept in the fridge. This mask is like a clay mask that you let harden on your skin then rinse off, I use boots facial sponges to remove it as I just feel like this is the quickest way to get it off your skin. It leaves my skin looking matte but feeling plump and refreshed.
Tea Tree Toner Water – I have tried a few of Lush’s toner waters and to be honest none really stand out as a favourite but right now I’m using the tea tree one. I do prefer these toners as they are more natural and not as stripping as I feel like other toners on the market can be. Out of all of the toners I’ve tried in the past, the Lush ones don’t leave my skin feeling tight and dehydrated. They just do their job of detoxifying and removing any excess makeup and dirt without also striping a layer off your skin. The tea tree one that I am using at the moment is antibacterial, anti-fungal and antimicrobial which I think will really benefit anyones skin to keep bacteria and spots away.
Ocean Salt Exfoliator – Another classic Lush product that I think a lot of people love is the Ocean Salt exfoliator, this can be used on your face and body but for people with sensitive skin I wouldn’t advise using it on your face unless you’re really gentle. This does have literally salt in it so if you are to harsh with the scrubbing on your face you can end up really hurting yourself (I found out the hard way). I use this on my face when I really feel like I need it and only around my t-zone but I mostly use it on my body just because of its ability to really do a good scrub! I love using it on my legs before shaving as I feel like it gives a closer shave and gets rid of ingrown hairs really well. It has avocado butter and coconut oil in to help counteract the salt so it doesn’t dry out your skin.
Dirty Shaving Cream – This shaving cream helps the razor glide over your skin and keeps cuts to a minimum. It is quite a thick formula so it doesn’t just run off your skin straight away, I use it to shave with then afterwards I rub the excess into my skin then rinse it off. I really don’t like shaving without this as I feel like my skin can sometimes feel dry after shaving so with this it just adds that extra layer of protection and moisturise-ation to ensure you have super soft skin all of the time.
Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Scrub – This is another Lush product that I’ve tried a lot of over the years. I think I might have tried every type there is! My current favourite is the sugar plum fairy one, I cant remember if this one was from the Christmas collection or the valentines one but either way this one is one of my favourite scents/flavours they’ve ever done. These lip scrubs are gentle but they still give you a good exfoliation, they leave your lips feeling so soft and get rid of any dry skin you may have.
