For a while I have been after a handbag that I could use everyday that wasn’t too small or too big, and I have finally found the perfect one! It’s a tan coloured Ralph Lauren faux leather over the body bag. While I was looking for this perfect bag I often came across bags that looked perfect but my purse wouldn’t fit in them! I used to have a Michael Kors purse which was the same shape as the Cath Kidston one in the photo above but it was just slightly bigger and never fit properly into small bags.
Ralph Lauren – Brooklyn Crossbody
But it did fit into this Ralph Lauren bag which I was so happy about! I never had the intention of buying a ‘designer’ bag as the majority of them are made with real leather and I don’t buy leather. So when I noticed that this bag was made with synthetic materials I was very surprised and impressed that Ralph Lauren have non leather options. I wasn’t intending on spending over £50 on a bag, but this was £115. Although that isn’t too bad for a more high end bag as it was exactly what I was looking for, the perfect size, shape, colour and with gold detailing so I was ok with spending a bit more on it.
Cath Kidston – Tropical Garden Purse
I hadn’t intended on buying a new purse as the Michael Kors one I did have was still in good condition but when I saw this purse in Cath Kinston I instantly fell in love. The colour palette and the roses are everything I love and the cute little Budgie on the front just topped it off. I have had the Michael Kors one since 2015 so I thought it was time for an update. The material is like canvas which I much prefer rather than the shiny material most Cath Kidston accessories have. All of these purses are unique as they all have a slightly different pattern to them. I was choosing between two designs one with a yellow budgie on and this purple one, it was a tough decision but I’m happy with the one I chose. It was £30 so quite a contrast between Michael Kors. It has loads of slots for cards, two compartments for notes and a zipped part for coins. I love this style of purse as you don’t have to fold notes and it has loads of compartments for all the various cards I have! I’m quite obsessed with plam leaf print at the moment so I was drawn to this pattern, some of Cath Kidston’s designs can be a bit too floral for my liking but this is just perfect.
