If you have followed me online for a while you will know that I love to switch up my bedroom decor every single season. My room furniture is quite plain and boring but that allows me to add in any colours I want so I love incorporating new seasonal decorations to keep my room feeling fresh! In this post I’m going to show you just how I’ve done that this autumn. If you would like to see how I decorated my bedroom for autumn last year you can read the post here.
My bed is the part of my room which I change up a lot throughout the year. As it is such a big staple, just something as simple as switching up the bedding can totally change the vibes of my room! I have far too many duvet covers for all seasons but I just had to buy this plaid set from Asda to add to my collection. It is totally autumnal with gorgeous orange and mustard tones throughout. I always switch up the millions of cushions that I have on my bed as well, so I’ve got the gorgeous burnt brick red fluffy cushion from Homesense, the other fluffy cushion from Matalan and the one behind that was from Next a few years ago. I then have a stag print cushion from Tesco about two years ago and a mustard velvet cushion from H&M. I also added some cute pumpkin fairy lights along the head board of my bed which are from Wilko.
I cant decide whether this little corner of my room is my favourite or if my bed corner is, but I have this memo board from New Look that I hang just about anything and everything off above my chest of draws. I cant wait to hang Christmas cards off it in December I feel like it would look so cute! I have just really random bits on it at the moment, the only new thing I’ve added for autumn is the leaping hare ornament which was from Sainsbury’s. Under that on top of my draws I have two drawings of my bunnies from the lovely Szonja that I have mentioned many times before. I still absolutely adore these drawings so I never change them around. I also have a set of wooden draws with foxes on which I got a couple of years ago from a local garden centre. On top of those draws I have two squirrel tea light candles from Tesco which I cannot bring my self to burn as they’re too cute. I also have three candles in the middle of those from Sainsbury’s. Next to that I have two Hannah Dale books and a gold pumpkin lantern from Wilko. Finally I have yet another candle from H&M which is sandalwood scented and smells incredible.
Over on my dressing table I’ve kept it pretty simple just including two new things so it doesn’t get too cluttered. I have a palmstry hand from Asda which I keep jewellery on, that is sitting on top of a dish from Urban Outfitters. I have another squirrel tea light candle and a Harpers Bizarre vegan soy wax candle in the ‘never mind the pumpkin’ scent. Behind that candle I have one more candle from Homesense in the shape of a pumpkin but I am not going to burn it I am just going to keep it as a decoration.
On each of my window ledges I have two faux succulents from Primark and two gorgeous ornaments from Sainsbury’s, one is a hedgehog and the other a hare. I also have few other bits on my window ledges which were from a couple of years ago.
That is all I’ve done with my room this autumn, quite different to last year but I wanted to keep it simple and not cluttered. Last year (as you can see in this post) I had a lot of ornaments around and it was very ‘British wildlife’ themed which I do still love, I just felt like I wanted to make it a bit more Halloweeny this year with the main deco being pumpkin themed.
