HOW TO RESPONSIBLY INTERACT WITH ANIMALS ON HOLIDAY

My own photo When I was on holiday in Mexico last year I came across people trying to get myself and other tourists to get photos taken with a monkey and some parrots. I immediately refused and couldn’t stop thinking about those poor animals all holiday. This is something I’ve seen in other countries too and I have seen a lot of people on social media post these photos with animals that they’ve got on holiday. To a person who isn’t particularly interested in animal rights or know much about animal behaviour, this kind of thing might not seem like such…

VEGAN RAINBOW CUPCAKES

While scrolling through Pinterest for hours on end like I often do, I came across something called ‘unicorn bark’ and it just looked so pretty I had to try and make it myself. Of course it wasn’t vegan so I ‘veganised’ it and incorporated it into these rainbow cupcakes I’ve made. The actual cake itself is just vanilla with rainbow hundreds and thousands throughout, with rainbow icing and real fresh edible flowers from Sainsbury’s. Ingredients for 6 cupcakes 140g self rising flour 100g caster sugar 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup of rainbow sprinkles 1 tsp vanilla extract 50ml vegetable…

THOUGHTS ON MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL

I wanted to quickly do a little post just to get some things off my chest in regards to my Youtube channel. If you have watched my videos you may have noticed that I haven’t posted a video since Christmas 2016 and I wanted to explain why. I started to make Youtube videos in 2013 when I was encouraged by people on instagram to make them. I used to talk to a big group of girls on instagram and a lot of us created our channels at the same time and shouted each other out when we first got started…

NEW ACCESSORIES

For a while I have been after a handbag that I could use everyday that wasn’t too small or too big, and I have finally found the perfect one! It’s a tan coloured Ralph Lauren faux leather over the body bag. While I was looking for this perfect bag I often came across bags that looked perfect but my purse wouldn’t fit in them! I used to have a Michael Kors purse which was the same shape as the Cath Kidston one in the photo above but it was just slightly bigger and never fit properly into small bags. Ralph…

CRUELTY FREE: EVERYDAY BRONZY SUMMER MAKEUP

My favourite season is summer, I have always believed that I am meant to live on a tropical island not in the rainy UK, as I just love the sun so much! I have been loving this heat wave we have been experiencing recently so I thought I’d share with you the makeup I’ve been wearing recently that enhances a summer glow. SPF – Hawaiian Tropic Satin Protection – I have never liked putting sun cream on my face because no matter what I tried it always looked greasy, so I never wore it as I cant stand looking shiny. But…

VEGAN T-SHIRT WISHLIST

When I first went vegetarian I was sort of embarrassed about it and if people would ask me why I didn’t eat meat I’d just say that I didn’t like the taste of it, which wasn’t true. So I never wanted to advertise it but now I am proud of my decision to avoid contributing to the exploitation of animals and I want to show it off which is why I’m so obsessed with vegan promoting clothing! I feel like vegan clothing has come a long way in the past few years all I could ever find when I first…

ANOTHER YEAR OVER

My start to the year when it comes to blogging has quite obviously not gone to plan. If you look at the post before this one I said that I was going to keep posting twice a week but I didn’t manage to stick to that. Straight after Christmas I was concentrating on January exams then I had loads of assignments due in, then it was February half term and I had a disaster. If you can remember last summer I did a blog post about an eyelash treatment known as LVL, it was amazing and I loved the way…
