As soon as I saw this palette in Boots I instantly fell in love! To me this is the most perfect shimmer eyeshadow palette, warm toned golds and oranges are my favourite eyeshadow colours! When I first saw it, it reminded me of their solstice highlighter palette, which I have and use almost every time I do my make up, so it was a no brainer as to whether I should purchace it.
The ‘outside’ packaging is amazing, I love the whole diamond image I think it looks really good, but when I opened the box I was disappointed that the actual palette was black. I know most of Sleek’s packaging is black but since this palette reminded me so much of solstice I was hoping for the gorgeous gold casing on this as well. Apart from that I love it, the formula is amazing, all of the eyeshadows are so velvety and blend like a dream! The palette comes with six shades and includes two cream shadows and four powder shadows. They are all pigmented enough that you can use them on their own but they also give a beautiful look to any eyeshadow you put them on top of. All of the powder shadows look like marble its just beautiful to look at, I’m thinking the lighter shades would also make great highlighters! I’m sure this palette will be getting a lot of love from me over the festive period, especially the dark pink shade and the gold!
I created the eye look above by putting Urban Decays Naked 2 eyeshadow in the crease, a bright orange from the Morphe 35O palette on the outer corner and under the lash line. From the Sleek palette I put ‘marquise’ over the orange, ‘asscher’ in the middle of my eyelid and lower lash line, then I put ‘trillion’ on the inner corner. I’m wearing Ardell false lashes in the Demi wispies style and Too Faced better than sex mascara on my bottom lashes. You can also find out how I did my brows in my eyebrow routine video here.
